The cachito is the quintessential Venezuelan breakfast. Soft and slightly sweet dough, rolled over a generous filling of smoked ham and bacon, baked until golden brown on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
These come pre-cooked and frozen. No need to knead or wait for rising: simply take them from the freezer to the oven, and in a few minutes you'll have freshly baked cachitos at home.
How to prepare them:
• Preheat oven to 180°C
• Place the cachitos on the tray without thawing
• Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown
• Serve hot
Perfect for Sunday breakfast, children's snacks, or with coffee and milk. They also work for events and meetings, as they can be baked in batches as needed.
