Yellow Threshed Corn El Dorado 1 kg
Hulled corn is corn grain from which the husk and germ have been removed. It is not flour or a pre-cooked product: it is whole grain ready to soak and cook, the basis of recipes made from scratch.
It is used to prepare Colombian mazamorra, Santandereano mute, corn soups, peto and peeled corn arepas, those that are ground at home and have a texture that no pre-cooked flour can imitate.
How to prepare:
• Rinse the grain and soak it for 8 to 12 hours
• Cook in plenty of water until tender, between 40 and 60 minutes depending on use
• For arepas or dough, grind the cooked grain while still hot
• For mazamorra, cook until it bursts and serve with milk and panela
It yields a lot: 1 kg of dry grain becomes more than 2.5 kg once soaked and cooked.
